Who would have thought such a confident woman like Madonna would ever say that she hates her “big, fat thighs”? The 49-year-old diva looks better than many teenagers, yet she’s as insecure about her looks as anyone else.
A newly-released video shows the singer bemoaning the ‘big fat thighs’ she inherited from her mother. The video, apparently shot during recording sessions for her latest album, Hard Candy, reveals a little-seen insecure side to the normally confident star.
Despite wearing skimpy leotards on stage, she is heard on the clip pleading: ‘Don’t show my big fat thighs, whatever you do.’ [Source]
In a recent interview, Gwyneth Paltrow talked about her friendship with Madonna and how they work out together sometimes.
“Sometimes we work out together. We work out very hard. She’s just much fitter than I am. I do a lot of dance aerobics and mat work [but] without my family I have no glow. Everything else is superficial.” [Source]

In a recent interview, Madonna said that she “would never get fat”. The 49-year-old pop icon has no plans to “slow down, stay home and get fat”.
As her August birthday approaches, she shows no sign of slowing down. “I’m not going to be defined by my age. Why would any woman?,” she asks. “I’m not going to slow down, get off this ride, stay home and get fat. No way!” Then, making a face, she adds, “I would never get fat.”
She won’t talk about any surgery she may have had – “I’m not against plastic surgery, I’m just against discussing it” – but Madonna does reveal some aspects of her beauty and fitness regimes.
“If you want to know how I look like I do, it’s diet and exercise and being constantly careful,” she says. “I swear by oxygen facials, I’m obsessive about staying out of the sun. I don’t drink much and drugs are out.”
The real secret to her success, Madonna thinks, is self-discipline. “There are no tricks. Tricks don’t work. Discipline does.” [People]
Even if you don’t like her music, you need to admire Madonna for her energy, discipline and ambition. She works out every day at her personal fitness center, and it shows… she looks great in her latest video “4 Minutes“!
