Cameron Diaz is not one of those stars who skip breakfast (especially the next day after exercising).

After a hard workout at the Gym on Nemo in West Hollywood, the athletic actress was spotted ordering a big burrito and a full fat latte for breakfast the following day. This only proves that she knows how to balance things in life!

Halle Berry reveals her body-after-baby diet and workout

Halle Berry got back into shape just two months after giving birth to her first child. Apparently, her secret to losing her pregnancy pounds is just eating healthy and exercising (and probably being in love too, as she just got engaged to her boyfriend and baby-daddy Gabriel Aubry).

In terms of diet, Berry is eating lots of vegetables, lean proteins and complex carbohydrates, as well as drinking a large quantity of water.

The 41-year-old actress also works out for 60 minutes, five days a week with celebrity trainer Ramona Braganza.

Their sessions include three cardio segments – on the elliptical, as well as kickboxing and then a stairs or hill climb – then also does a strength-training routine that include abdominal work and leg exercises. [Source]

Does Carrie Underwood have an eating disorder?

Carrie Underwood is on the cover of InStyle magazine’s May 2008 issue. In the interview, she talks about her poor body image and her obsession with food. At first, she admits being an emotional eater - after being cheaten on by some of her previous boyfriends, she began drowning her sorrow in ice cream.

“I’m a ‘let it go, move on’ kind of person. And ice cream is my friend. If anybody sees me eating a sundae and I look unhappy, something bad has happened,” Underwood tells the magazine. “I am drowning my sorrows in fudge and caramel and whipped cream.”

The singer also has a serious body image problem! Even though she’s beautiful (and also very thin), she confessed that sometimes she feels disgusted by her body.

“I think about what I look like probably more than I should. But I think everybody is her own worst critic,” she says. “Some days I step out of the shower, put my lotion on, and I’ll be like ‘Ugh, ew, ew.’ ” [Source]

And here’s the worst part - Carrie has become so obsessed with food that she’s started eating less and less, counting calories for all the food that she’s eating.

It’s 5:30pm and Carrie Underwood hasn’t eaten all day… [T]here’s a platter nearby piled with sandwiches. But Underwood sips a diet soda and nibbles on a Weight Watchers bar instead. “Everything shows up immediately right here,” she says, pointing to her tummy.

She rarely goes out without makeup and keeps a food diary: “I’m OCD like that,” Underwood admits. “I count calories, fat and fiber – which is important in making you feel fuller faster – and protein, especially when I’m working out.”

These all look like signs of an eating disorder to me. I surely hope that she doesn’t have one, but if she does, she should get some help before it’s too late!

Avril Lavigne did a very interesting interview with JustJared (one of my favorite gossip blogs!). When asked about her favorite junk food, she said it was ketchup chips and dill pickle chips, but that she usually likes eating healthy food (like salad and vegetables).

JJ: On the road, what’s your favorite junk food?

AL: Yea, when I go through Canada, I get ketchup chips and dill pickle chips because it’s Canadian. And then, I like to be really healthy though because being a singer, you can’t really get sick or you won’t be able to sing. Like, I’m sick right now unfortunately.

JJ: Do you have a personal chef? What do you do for food all the time?

AL: No, my bus is really decked out. We have a huge fridge and stove and all that. Basically I just get up and eat a salad. I have a kitchen so I’ll just make what I want. We have catering too, so we’ll just send someone to get me a salad or vegetables. I have a steamer on my bus too, so I’ll steam veggies. I totally go through my thing where I’m like super healthy, but then I go through my phases where I’m like “Okay, I’m gonna pig out.”

Last week’s National Enquirer has an article about Hollywood’s “deadliest diets”.

On the cover, there’s Janet Jackson (who dropped 72 pounds in a relatively short time), Britney Spears (”pills cause heart attack drama” - I haven’t heard about that story yet), Tara Reid (who was supposedly secretly hospitalized), Jodie Foster (whose “sudden weight loss” might not be as dramatic as they make it sound) and Beth Ditto (the “guess who?” on the left, who apparently eats a whole bucket of fried chicken and two cartons of ice cream for dinner).

I’m not sure how true these stories (and how real the photos) are, but I agree that eating too little (or too much) can be very dangerous, and even deadly in some cases.

Mariah Carey shares her diet and fitness secrets on Oprah

Mariah Carey, who recently lost around 14 pounds, appeared on Oprah yesterday and shared some of her diet and fitness secrets with the rest of the world.

“My jean size went down to my 10th grade size,” the 38-year-old revealed Monday.

“I got tired to people telling me, ‘You need to lose weight,’” she said. “It inspired me.”

“For me, it’s not about a number on a scale,” she added. “It’s not about necessarily even a size. It’s about feeling good and being comfortable in your own skin. Right now, I feel really great. I feel better than I’ve ever felt.” [Us]

Mariah is a well-known yo-yo dieter, her weight fluctuating a lot throughout the years. But a recent comment about her weight made by a close friend inspired her to make some permanent changes in her life and get into shape once and for all. Mariah’s “secret weight loss weapon” is her nutrition and fitness coach, who helped her reshape her body, but also makes sure she follows her strict diet.

Mariah says her workouts typically last for 60 to 90 minutes and combine cardio with resistance training. To tone her arms, Mariah uses her own body weight and stretches to sculpt long, lean lines. She likes to hop into a pool for the cardio portion of her workout. “What’s great about working out in the pool is the water acts as resistance,” she says. “You’re actually exercising twice as hard without feeling it.” [Oprah]
