Cate Blanchett showed off her stunning post baby figure at the Cannes Film Festival just a month after giving birth to her third son, Ignatius! Cate, who stars as Harrison Ford’s adversary in “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull“, appeared at the movie’s premiere at Cannes on Sunday (May 18) wearing a glamorous smoky gray gown.

Australian actress Cate Blanchett has just confirmed that she is pregnant with her third child. Cate made the announcement at the premiere of her latest movie “Elizabeth: The Golden Age” in Sydney.

Wearing a pink dress that was draped in bright orange organza, Blanchett said she was in the early stages of pregnancy.

When asked if she was expecting, the Oscar winner beamed and said: “Yes, I am.” The mother of two boys shook her head at rumours that it was a boy, saying: “You know more than me. It’s early days yet. It’s due in April.”

A few days ago, I showed you some pictures of Cate Blanchett at the Costume Institute Gala where she appeared very skinny and sick.

I was worried that she would be the next celebrity to fall victim to anorexia, but it turned out she lost all that weight only for a role. Cate will star in “Cancer Vixen: A True Story”, based on an upcoming memoir of the same name by Marisa Acocella Marchetto, a cartoonist fashionista for Glamour and the New Yorker.

Marchetto’s autobiography, which has been generating buzz ahead of its release by Knopf on Tuesday, describes how she fell in love with a celebrity restaurateur and was planning their wedding when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and realised that she had let her health insurance lapse. Her friends — stylists, gossip columnists, designers — rallied around her as she wore killer shoes to chemo sessions and strove to get married on time. [Source]
